Stylized Red and Black Bird Vintage Brooch by Fernando Originals

This is a striking articulated vintage costume jewelry pin by Fernando Originals, in goldtone, red, and black. It is cast goldtone metal, with enameled body and tail feather dangles, as well as a beak dangle. It is new old stock (NOS), in excellent condition, with its original handtag (the vintage brooch itself is not signed). This vintage pin measures just shy of 2-3/4" long, and 2" wide. 

Fernando Originals was a company created in 1988 and whose president was Erwin Pearl, a well-known jewelry designer. It is unclear how long the company actually produced costume jewelry. Its certificate was dissolved in 2022, after its last corporate filing in 2021. This brooch likely is from the 1990s, though it may be newer.
